The Bridgeport Historical Village, featuring the William W. Schomaker Museum, the Hannay House and a one-room schoolhouse, is located at 6190 Dixie, Bridgeport Township. It's open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday though Saturday.

The mix of habitat attracts birds and wildlife, and the gentle nature of the trails makes this area an easy one-day outing. The forest contains beeches and maples that are 200 years old. All three trails share the same start point, but traverse different habitats. Special attractions: Beech and maple forests, birding opportunities.
